MEMBERSHIP MEETING

AUGUST 19, 2006

 

President Mike McGrew called the meeting to order.  Jerry Casey led the invocation and Mike led the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Mike discussed the Locksmith Licensing law.

Harry—none

Bonnie presented the minutes from the previous meeting.  Jim Loomis made the motion to accept, seconded by Frank and passed.

Loretta presented the Financial Report.  Motion to approve by John Ruperd, second by Dusty Brummitt and passed.

Matt—none

Dave—none

John mentioned the classes and the rooms

Frank Bellizzi, Gary Frame and Jim Loomis, Directors had none

 

NEW BUSINESS

Mike—none

Harry—none

Bonnie had new applications from Ira Hayes and reinstatement requests from. John Bradley,  Brian Swift, Ray Jackson, Chris Alden and Clarence Weber.  All were presented to the membership and approved.  Mike presided over the swearing in of those members.

Loretta asked that the bills be paid.  Motion by Eric Casey, second by John Ruperd and passed.

Jerry Casey, Past President made a motion to pay mileage for OMLA officers on OMLA business.  The motion was tabled to be discussed at the next Executive Board meeting prior to being brought before the membership.

John Ruperd reminded us that Lowell Roberts will do access control at the next meeting and asked for suggestions for future classes.  Tydell Tack Two was suggested.

 

GOOD OF THE ORDER

Clint Parsons presented a plaque received by OMLA from ALOA for the volunteer efforts in assisting with the creation of the Licensing Law.

Jim Loomis reminded us about OPLA Sept 23-24.

Harry reminded us about MINK Oct 6-8

A.B. Parker requested a bylaws change to allow locksmiths who were not US Citizens to join.

Lowell told us the CBS Door Company had donated a vanload of equipment to OMLA

 

Motion to adjourn was made and seconded and passed.
