UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Treasurer, Loretta Loomis, read and explained our last financial report.
Loretta asked for motion to approve this report. Motion was made by Bob Christoffersen and 2nd'd by Harry Sher.
Report was approved.
NEW BUSINESS:
Mike stated that our attendance this weekend was great and gave some input
into ways of increasing our attendance even more. Nelda introduced 4 new
applicants for membership into our association. Those applicants were: Franklin
Mahaffey with Holders Security in Tulsa Ok., Bill Wilson with Bills Key &
Lock in Roland, Ok, Bonnie Sher with Lew Sher Inc in Van Buren, Ark,
and Kenton Woodard with UCO/DPS/Access Control in Edmond, Ok. Motion was made
to approve and accept these applicants for membership by Odie
Tresner and 2nd'd by Jerry Casey. All members present
voted to accept all 4 applicants, and they were sworn in for membership by Mike
McGrew. Loretta asked that all bills and expenses for this weekend be approved
for payment. Motion was made and 2nd'd to pay all these expenses. Scott Hancock
thanks all for attending this weekends educational classes. Thanks to Dewey
Brandon and Tommy Minick for teaching our classes
this weekend. Scott stated that C.D. Lipscomb would be our instructor for our
November Basic Locksmithing, and Pinning class for
our upcoming November meeting. Future classes discussed were Medeco, Methods of Entry by Harry Sher,
and other Safe classes by Tommy Minick. Tommy Minick discussed our Swap Meet that was to begin immediatly after this meeting, and thanked all who had
brought the great merchandise for sale. It was discussed that we might consider
having a swap meet twice a year instead of just once a year. Possibly
one in
Kenny Lee gave the slate of nominated officers for the upcoming new year. Those were: President, Mike McGrew; Vice
President, Harry Sher; Secretary, Bonnie Sher; Treasurer, Loretta Loomis, Sgt. at Arms, Kenton
Woodard, and Paula Sands, newsletter editor. The election of officers will be
held at our next meeting in November. Members can still make other nominations
for any of these offices until our next meeting.
Thanks to all those who donated door prizes this weekend and congradulations to all our winners.

GOOD OF THE ORDER:
Harry and Bonnie Sher are celebrating their 21st
wedding anniversary this weekend. Jim Yeager discussed the upcoming O.P.L.A.
Trade Show Weekend at the Best Western Inn of the Ozarks on Sept. 6th. There
will be a Distributor show. Ken Perrson
of Peterson Manu.
Harry Sher told everyone of the loss of another
fellow locksmith, Skip Chandler from
John Ruperd's employee's friend had a terrible
auto accident and was hospitalized. Our prayers are with all these friends.
Our association wishes to thank Loretta and Jim Loomis, and Tommy and Nelda Minick for donating this weekends
door prizes. The door prize winners were Janis Reves,
Randy Gregory, Tommy Minick, and Wilma Lee.
