Saturday, May 5, 2001 Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. by our president, Jerry Casey. Invocation was given by Jim Loomis. Membership pledged our allegiance to the flag.

Secretary Nelda Minick was not present. Jackie Roberts filled in for her. Jackie gave the roll call for officers and directors. Officers present were: Jerry Cassey, Mike McGrew, Loretta Loomis, Lowell Roberts, Charles Hudecek, Johnny Stewart. Directors present were: Gary Frame and Frank Bellizzi. Absent were: Paula Sands, Nelda Minick and Odie Tresner.

On the Feb. 17, 2001 minutes motion was made by Randy Knot to accept the minutes as printed in the locktalk, 2nd'd by Lowell Roberts .

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Vice Present Mike McGrew had a suggestion for the August meeting - have the swap meet in the evening and classes in the morning. The meeting could easily be conducted in the afternoon, followed by supper and then the swap meet. Make sure it's put in the bulletin several months before so we will draw a large group. Lowell Roberts made a motion to do this and was 2nd'd by Jim Loomis and approved. Mike thanked D.W. Dowless for the great class he taught.

Secretary Jackie Roberts said she had no applications and if we didn't have any app’s that told us we were not growing. Jackie asked how many were using our website. Only six people raised their hands. Question was asked if it was worth what we were paying. It was brought up that the web did not match the bulletin and that it needed to match.

Treasurer Loretta Loomis gave the financial report. Bills were paid for Feb, 2001. As of the 23rd of April we have $20,251.11.

Education Director Charles Hudecek said he was receiving some resistance from the manufacturers for the August classes. He said he would keep working on it.

NEW BUSINESS

President Jerry Casey said we needed someone to head up a nominating committee. Randy Knot said he would. Thanks Randy.

Vice President Mike McGrew said things were lined up for August. Things were worked out for November. Things were worked out for February.

Secretary Jackie Roberts on registration we had 19. If things are to be in the bulletin and don't get in call Jerry and he will call Paula.

Treasurer Loretta Loomis needed to approve the bills for the weekend. Frank Bellizzi made a motion to approve the bills, Gary Frame 2nd'd.

Past President Lowell Roberts told Charles Hudecek to tell the manufactures Aloa and Boston would be over a month before our meeting . Charles said the manufacturers had a bad taste for Oklahoma. Charles also said he was fighting a battle with them to come teach classes.

Sergeant-at-arms Johnny Stewart said we had 16 members and 5 guests present.

Education Director Charles Hudecek said Jim Blazer has agreed to do the classes for November, a two day course at $125.00 a piece - cost may go up and a lab fee of $40.00 will be confirmed later. He asked what everyone thought about setting up PRP testing. Will get with us later on this.

Director Frank Bellizzi said we need to pre-register to save time. Paula needs to run this in the bulletin several months before our meeting. There will be a late charge of $25.00 if you do not pre-register.

GOOD OF THE ORDER

The ladies made stepping stones. Johnny won the stepping stone. The free weekend was won by Johnny.

The next meeting will be in Tulsa at the Holliday Select 3rd weekend. Board meeting will be held August 17th, membership meeting will be conducted August 18th.
