Invocation by Brad Osborne and Pledge of Allegiance by everyone.

Roll call of officers and directors - everyone in attendance except Frank Bellizzi, Lowell Roberts (His wife Jackie is in the emergency room at this time.), Jerry Casey and Dave Wofford.

Unfinished business consisted of:

President -  The Board of Directors has given approval to the president to become a member of OSAE which is an association of association executives and OMLA will pay the annual dues.  this association is where executives meet to hone their skills in administering an association properly and to network with other associations for the good of our membership.

Vice President - the show  in February was a success.

Secretary - The minutes of the last meeting were discussed with a motion to approve them , seconded and approved by the membership.

Treasurer - Financial report read, motion made and seconded to approve them and by a unanimous vote they were approved.

Past President - not here

Sergeant-at-arms - none

Editor (Newsletter) - not here but Mike relayed that the newsletter is still evolving, as is the webpage.  If you can contribute it would be very much appreciated.

Education Director - none

Director West (Altus) - not here

Director Central (Broken Arrow) - none

Director East (Carthage, Mo.) - none

Legislative Action Committee Chairman - not here

Licensing Education and Training Committee Chairman - All the trade shows that we have been involved in so far have been an overwhelming success and have provided some very unique opportunities for the association and the members.

New Business

President - Buddy D. Lock has now had his name protected on the internet under the categories of .com and .info for the next 10 years.  This will help him in the future to educate and inform the public about locksmiths in general and especially OMLA locksmiths.

The papers for registration of our logo in the State of Oklahoma to protect it against anyone using it for other purposes has been submitted and we should hear back soon.

The new display that was approved last meeting is here and has been used at several trade shows already.  It is very impressive to have this available to make our booths a more effective tool for our Association.  We have several more shows set up to promote OMLA and our membership.

The swap meet will be upon us before we know it and the discussion turned to booths and their price.  It has been decided so far to keep them at $10.00 per table until Jim Loomis (who will head this committee for the August meeting's swap meet) gets more info on the size and so forth of these tables.  So get your order in for these tables as soon as possible to Jim!

It was discussed that we need to have the tapes and DVD's at each meeting if at all possible, so that anyone can rent them more conveniently.

Nominations for Board of directors members need to be submitted and Mary Osborne has been put in charge of the committee to accept these nominations, because we will be electing them in November at the meeting.

Vice President - Vendors for next years trade show have already been contacted and one has already locked in their spot. others have verbally committed to be there.

Secretary, Membership, Registration - The member roster is still not complete due to correspondence not being answered. (if you know of someone who is not showing up or is not listed but was - please contact Mary with their current address and also help contact them and try to bring them back)

Treasurer. Finance - The bills were presented discussed and a motion was made to pay them with a second and overwhelming approval given.

Past President - not here

Sergeant-at-arms, Video and Security - if anyone knows of new videos on locksmithing that we can get for our rental library please contact Matt Kelm.

Editor, Newsletter - had to leave early.

Education Director - Various programs have been proposed and discussed to help our members, but we need to have more participation in them when they are offered.  It was proposed that the price be increased if you are not pre-registered ahead of time for a class.  These classes are very reasonable in price when compared to other organizations that provide education for their members.

Director West (Altus)  - not here

Director Central (Broken Arrow) - none

Director East (Carthage, Mo.) - none

Legislative Action Committee Chairmen - not here (Our prayers are with him and his wife)

Licensing, Education & Training Committee Chairman -  Gains are being made in promoting professional recognition of members of this organization.

Buddy D program is in full swing and is going very well.

We have been approached about a program to be presented to law enforcement on recognition of tools that are or can be used for illegal entry.  If this is put together and goes well it may be such a thing as it can be certified for CLEET certification classes.

Good of the Order - OPLA will meet in Springfield, Mo. on June 26,2008 at the Hampton Inn.

Moved to adjourn by Jim Loomis seconded by John Ruperd and unanimously approved by the membership

The next General membership meeting will be in Oklahoma City at the Biltmore Hotel on August 16, 2008 at 5:30 p.m.

Respectfully submitted

Mary Osborne
