MEMBERSHIP MINUTES, February 4, 2006

CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL, OKLA CITY, OK

President Mike McGrew called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Mike updated the membership on the progress of the website.

Harry Sher talked about the Trade Show and how well it had gone.

Bonnie Sher presented the Minutes from the previous meeting. Billed Reves moved to accept; second by John Ruperd and passed.

Loretta Loomis presented the Financial Report. Johnny Stewart moved to approve; second by Dusty Brummitt, passed.

Matt Kelm showed some of the door prizes and mentioned that the conversion of tapes to DVD was almost complete.

David Wofford, Jerry Casey, John Ruperd, Gary Frame, and Jim Loomis all had no unfinished business

NEW BUSINESS

Mike told us that future business meetings would be held immediately after classes or shows to try to increase attendance.

Harry had no new business.

Bonnie introduced for prospective new members: Carrie Carter, Billy Bartram, H.M. Pannell, and William Powell. Carrie and William would be apprentice, Billy and H.M. would be full members. Motion to approve by Bill Reves, second by John Ruperd, passed. Mike swore them in per bylaws protocol.

Loretta asked that we pay bills. Motion to approve by Jerry case, second by Lowell Roberts passed.

David reminded everyone to send their dues in to Secretary Bonnie Sher.

Jerry Casey reminded us about the OPLA class in March.

John Ruperd reminded us that Harry will teaching May, Ed Humes in August and Lowell in November.

Gary had no report.

Jim Loomis thanked everyone for all of their hard work.

GOOD OF THE ORDER

Lowell presented the Kenny Lee award to A.B. Parker, who was not with us unfortunately due to injuries suffered in a fall.

Mike reminded us that meetings will now follow immediately after classes or trade show functions.

Door prizes provided by ALOA, IDN, Flake, Jet, ADI, SAS and others were won by Jerry and Eric Casey, Gary Frame, Gene Holder, Jim Loomis, Carrie Carter, James Williams, David Wofford, Fred Linnabary, Bill Reves and Mary Ann Phillips.

James Williams won the Educational weekend.
