Holiday Inn Select, Tulsa OK

President Mike McGrew called the meeting to order at 5:35 pm and lead the Pledge of Allegiance.  Frank Bellizzi gave the invocation.  Roll call was done in a timely manner with most officers in attendance.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS.

Mike talked about the final issues of the Locksmith Licensing Law.  He told us that there would be fiv3e meetings to get locksmiths signed up and he would like volunteers from the Assn to assist at these meetings.

The dates and locations of the meetings are : Jan 13  Lawton OK, Jan 27  OKC,  Feb 3 at the trade show , Feb 24 at Enid, March 17 at McAllister and Charles will do one at the Hans Johnson show March 13.  Mike also said we would need a notary at these meetings and Mrs. Campbell said she would help some.

Harry Sher told us that all of the booths for the Trade Show in Feb are sold except for two.  He reminded us that the show would be in Tulsa this time.

Bonnie Sher presented the minutes which were accepted.

Loretta Loomis provided the Financial Reports which were accepted.

Dave apologized that he had been unable to get newsletters out this month and again reminded us that that they could go email or be pulled from the website.

Directors had no unfinished business.

NEW BUSINESS

Mike announced to the membership that the booth rates would be raised in 2008 to reflect the rise in costs to the Association.

Harry had no new business.

Bonnie presented applications from prospective members: Riley Coy, Bruce Brandon, Arvin Imoe, Donald Brill and Chris Combs.  All were accepted as either full or apprentice level members.

Loretta asked that we pay the bills.  This, of course, was approved.

John Ruperd talked about upcoming classes: Wireless Access Control by Blueway in OKC in May.  Preregistration is required due to limited seating and class materials.  No one will be allowed to register at the door.

The Directors had no new business.  As Directors were to be voted on at this meeting, Mike announced that the current officers would remain in place unless there were nominations from the floor.  None were received and the current Directors agreed to serve another term.

GOOD OF THE ORDER

Frank extended thanks on behalf of the members to Lowell Roberts and Charles Hudecek and Clint Parsons on their hard work and positive attitudes bringing out a law locksmith could work with.  Lowell told us that the Burglar and Fire Alarm Assn has now aligned with OMLA in this.

Bonnie reminded everyone who needs to contact her or Harry to do so by email due to heavy travel schedules.

Respectfully Submitted,

Bonnie Sher, Secretary
