General Membership Meeting

Biltmore Hotel

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Officers for 2010-2011 were reaffirmed at 6:05 P.M. by Past President Mike McGrew.

Meeting called to order at 6:10 P.M. by President Charles Hudecek and an invocation

by Mike McGrew. The pledge of Allegiance was then recited by all present.

 

We were then recessed at 6:15 P.M. for our guest speaker, Lt. Governor Jeri Askins.

She was very informed about our organization and our goals and encouraged us both on

a personal and professional level. We would like to thank her for taking her valuable

time to speak with us on our 40th Anniversary.

 

Meeting was reconvened at 6:40 P.M. with a roll call of officers which found all

present except Frank Bellizzi who was busy catching up with work after the recent storm.

 

Unfinished Business

 

President Charles Hudecek - Thank you to Jackie Roberts and Deb Hudecek for all the

hard work and time they put in to make this 40th Anniversary celebration come to life.

 

Vice-President Dusty Brummitt - Nothing at this time.

 

Secretary Mary Osborne - Minutes have been published on the web and a copy is at each

table. Motion made by Mike McGrew and seconded by Dusty Brummitt to accept them with a

clear approval by all members present.

 

Treasurer Loretta Loomis – Treasurer’s report has been left on each table and members

given a moment to read them. Motion made by Mike McGrew and seconded by Ginny Weber to

accept them and an overwhelming majority of present members approved the report. The bills

for this weekend were then presented and a motion made by Mike McGrew and seconded by

Lowell Roberts to pay these bills and the members present approved them with a clear majority.

 

Past President Mike McGrew - Thank all of you for your support while I was in office

as your President and thank you all for allowing me to serve in this important position.

Sergeant-at-Arms Matt Kelm - Nothing at present.

 

Editor Newsletter Mike McGrew - Nothing at present.

 

Education Director John Ruperd - Nothing at present.

 

Director West Frank Bellizzi - Not present.

 

Director Central Gary Frame - Nothing at present.

 

Director East Jim Loomis - Nothing at present.

Legislative Action Committee chairman Lowell Roberts - Legislative Bill 2308 is ill but

not dead so keep an eye out for it to be revived and be ready to help stop it from passage.

Legislative Bill 2320 (for term limits for Advisory Board members and continuing education

requirements) will be coming to committee soon and will need all of our support, so please

contact your Senator as soon as possible to help him or her understand why wee need this bill.

 

Licensing Education and Training Committee chairman Dusty Brummitt ­Nothing at present.

    Reconvened after a delicious meal and stimulating conversations with all present.

Legislative Action Committee Chairman - None at present.

 

Licensing Education and Training Committee Chairman - Nothing at this time.

 

Good of the order - Many awards were presented including but not limited to: the Kenny Lee award

which was presented to Mike McGrew and Wilma Lee who have been very dedicated to serving our

Organization. Comments were made by Harry Sher (S.S. Regional Director for ALOA) and Tim McMullen

(Legal Advisor for ALOA) who had numerous good things to say about OMLA and our 40th Anniversary.

 

Motion to adjourn by Brad Osborne and seconded by Kristy Wiggins with a resounding approval by

the membership who were then entertained by a Roast of our own Lowell Roberts and drawing for

prizes presented by our great vendors.
