Locksmith Licensing Update

The Alarm and Locksmith Advisory Board met on June 4th, 2008 at 0903 am.  The following items were discussed :

1)      Members present: Mike Nelson, Matt Schue, Paul Juneau , LaRue Medders , Rick Brown, and James Perry.

Member Late : Drake McDannold,

Members Absent: Bob Carrol, and Steve York

2)      The Following Companies applying for Licensure consideration and approved:

a)API Alarm Monitoring, Inc ( Monitoring ). Manager: Howard Garr

b)Nobel Systems, Inc ( Closed Circuit TV, and Access Control, and Nurse Call ). Manager: Jim Pearson

c)The SpyGuys, LLC ( Closed Circuit TV ).   Manager: Robert Waller, Jr.

d) A Atlas Fire Inspections( Commercial Fire Sprinkler ).   Manager: Doug Ehrhardt

e)Sharpco (Burglar, Commercial Fire, Closed Circuit TV, and Access Control, and Nurse Call ).

Manager: Curtis E. Sharp

3) The Following items were discussed:

a) Matt Schue reminded the committee that the new rules will go into effect on 11 July 08 and can be viewed on the O.S.D.H. web site. (These new rules contain rough in, cabling and new trainee requirements)

b) A Company must be licensed in the State of OK. prior to that company putting in a bid in the State of OK.

c) It is unknown at this time if Senate Bill 45 will apply to Box stores (Lowe's, Home Depot, Etc, Etc.)

4) The Alarm and Locksmith Advisory Committee adjourned at 10:08 am
