Advisory Board Meeting
Room 806 at Oklahoma Health Dept.
Meeting was called to order at 9:03am
Rick Brown took a motion to
approve the minutes of the Jan. 7 meeting, and they were approved.
Matt Schue addressed Rick Brown and asked if they
could move through the meeting so he would
be able to make his appointment latter that morning, and Mr.
Brown agreed.
They moved to the review of new applicants.
There were only four companies to be reviewed for licensure.
Only two of the company's were present for the committee to view.
All were approved with a short discussion with one company owner.
Next they moved into new issues. But there were no new issues.
They moved to old issues.
Matt Schue addressed the board with news on the
electricians. The governing party over the electricians
finally came up with their rule and guidelines for
all electricians, apprentices, ,journeymen, and
sub contractors. Matt read the new proposed guidelines and
they are good and have some teeth!
Matt stated if these rules were adopted, they could be voted into the Alarm and
Locksmith Industry rules
as early as March of this year.
Matt gave Lowell Roberts a copy of the proposed rules for the locksmiths to
revue.
Then the board had some discussion on fraudulent alarm companies and action being take on them.
Next the board moved to issues from the general public.
Lowell Roberts asked the board about SB45
dealing with lumber yards
trying to do alarms & CCTV ?
Matt stated that legal was looking at the exact wording of the bill and how
they could use it against the
lumber yards.
Then they moved to discussions from the committee.
There was a short discussion by Matt Schue on the
testing for residential & commercial fire sprinkler
classes. The discussion was mainly between Matt and Steve York.
Then Rick Brown said the next meeting would be in the same place on
And then they quickly moved to Adjournment.
